  2. Meanwhile heat a pan,add ghee/oil and add onion,ginger-garlic paste.Cook for 1 minute on low flame.Add all spices and cook till oil separates..
  3. Add tomato puree,add water and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes.Add cooked dal.Mix well.Adjust salt as per taste..
  4. Heat ghee in a pan for tampering,add all the ingredients mentioned for tampering.Saute for 10-12 seconds and pour over dal..
  5. Serve hot with roti/rice..
